Focus

I am currently a PhD student in physical chemistry studying at the University of Colorado under Niels Damrauer. My studies focus on controlling electron transfer reactions through molecular design and shaped laser pulses in photoactive materials with solar energy applications. In other words, I design molecules so they can efficiently store and use solar energy.

I have a strong interest in science education, communication, and science and technology policy. I’ve started this blog in a hope to explain my research goals to a broader audience, and provide a place to learn about energy research, from the micro scale of molecules to the macro scale of wind turbines and solar panels.
